During Japan's feudal era, two ninja clans, the Byakuro and the Kabusu, were at odds. The Kabusu launched a daring raid on the Byakuro castle one night in the hopes of snatching the clan's baby princess. Their objective was thwarted when a faithful Byakuro ninja fled the attack with the princess and vanished, later rearing her to be a ninja. Six ninja trainees are assigned a mission to penetrate the Kabusu-occupied Byakuro castle and collect a precious scroll in order to finish their training. But their abilities are put to the test when they come across three members of the Kabusu who are using black sorcery to kidnap the princess - who happens to be one of the trainees.
