During the late nineteenth century, Great Britain grew to become the world's biggest empire. The nation's rigid economic hierarchy, hidden beneath its prosperity, defines the worth of one's life entirely on position and riches. As one might expect, the system favors the aristocrats at the top and makes it hard for the working class to progress through the ranks. William James Moriarty, the Moriarty household's second son, lives as a typical aristocrat while simultaneously consulting with the ordinary people to help them with their difficulties. Deep inside him, though, is a yearning to demolish the present framework that rules British society and those who gain from it. William, along with his brothers Albert and Louis, will do anything.
