Makina lost consciousness when the Hyuga Corporation's Marishi Machina suit took control of her body and sent her speeding down the new Shutoko freeway on an MT-07. Fortunately, Dan was able to intervene before it was too late. Dan began riding back towards the Genesis Café with Makina on the back of his MT-09 Street Rally, only to be stopped by Hyuga Corporation chairman Mitsukuni Hyuga. He had an uneasy expression on his face as he waited for them. Dan was certain that he would be compelled to quit as a result of his involvement in this debacle with the company's heir to the president, Kotaro Hyuga.
