A boy, Tatara, and a girl, Sarasa, are born in a tiny village. The prophet Nagi proclaims Tatara to be the chosen one who will liberate Japan from the tyranny of the King and his four sons. When the merciless Red King murders Tatara, Sarasa is forced to take on her brother's identity and responsibilities in order to liberate Japan and exact vengeance on the Red King.
