Ryouma Takebayashi, a young guy, lives deep in the forest, far from human contact. He has an odd obsession with keeping various types of slimes as pets. Moreover, despite his youth, he has a robust body and a high aptitude for magic. All of this is because, after facing great difficulty in his previous life, three gods bestow upon Ryouma a second chance to fulfill one goal: to enjoy the splendors of life. After three years of peaceful isolation, Ryouma meets people who will have a long-term impact on his current life. When he meets and joins other troops in ministering to a wounded comrade, the group persuades him to join them to the ducal family of the adjacent town. Ryouma accepts and departs immediately.
