Beet is a young man who aspires to join the "Zenon Warriors," a group of "Vandel Busters" who are regarded as the strongest on the continent. Beet seeks to join the troop that comes to protect his community from the Vandel, Beltorze, but is refused. The Zenon Warriors look to have the upper hand until Beltorze emerges, but Beet encourages them on, leading the Vandel to notice his presence. Beltorze strikes Beet, forcing the Zenon Warriors to break formation to assist him. Beltorze takes advantage of the situation to launch another attack, inflicting lethal wounds on all of them.
